From the Creator
Hyori Atelier was founded in 2025 by Hyori, a Korean-American college student who stumbled upon a true passion for clothing. Growing up as a first-generation child of immigrant parents, Hyori's journey has been a delicate dance between two cultures—her family’s traditional Korean roots and the vibrant, fast-paced American culture she grew up in. Through her work, Hyori discovered that the very things that seemed to define her struggles—being in-between, undefined, and evolving were her greatest strengths. This realization sparked the creation of Hyori Atelier, a brand born out of the need to break free from labels, stereotypes, and rigid expectations.
For Hyori, fashion is not just about creating beautiful garments—it’s about transformation. It’s about reclaiming and reimagining something that was once discarded and giving it new life, new meaning, and new purpose. This principle of transformation goes far beyond the clothes she designs. It extends to people, to the relationships we cultivate, to the communities we build, and to the cultures we celebrate. Hyori Atelier represents freedom to reinvent oneself and to embrace what makes us unique.
Hyori is committed to pursuing a career as a fashion designer, one that is rooted in sustainability and the idea that true beauty lies in what has been overlooked or cast aside. She exclusively ties in second hand materials, transforming discarded garments into unique, contemporary pieces. Each creation is infused with stories and memories, paying homage to her heritage while also celebrating her forward-thinking vision. Through her designs, Hyori seeks to preserve the fading aspects of her culture while simultaneously forging a new path for future generations.
